- Supriya (Vaishya) — supreme Shiva-devotee; unbroken in his 'Om Namah Shivaya' japa; for his protection Shiva manifested and slew the Daruka-asura; thereafter accepting permanent residence in the Daruka forest as 'Nageshwar'
